Help Lissa’s Recovery
Donation protected
Our mum, Lissa has had a tough few years but has always been there for her family and friends.
Diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2022 at the age of 67 and living alone, she’s recently rediscovered the joy of life and pottering in her own garden again after I became her full time carer and we moved in together in April this year.
After all this, mum was admitted for emergency surgery on 14 November 2024 for a perforated bowel with peritonitis (brought on by complications from her Parkinson’s) and after major open surgery, she has a long road to recovery ahead.
Before she returns home, I would like to set the house up a little better to aid in her comfort and mobility and since we’re both on pensions, I’m asking for our community’s support.
I’m raising money to buy her a recliner couch and a good quality wheelie walker so she can move about independently and rest comfortably as she heals.
All money raised will go towards these items and if there’s any remaining, it will help buy medical supplies.
I know we’re all struggling at the moment but even a little will assist.
Lots of love ❤️
