I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister Lisa, her husband Alex, and their son Luca, who are facing an unexpected and challenging time. Recently, Alex’s company underwent changes that resulted in the loss of his position, taking with it 60% of their household income and their health insurance. As many of you know, Lisa and Alex are always the first to step up when others are in need. Now, I’m asking our community to help them bridge the gap for the next two months as they work to get back on their feet.


The primary focus of this fundraiser is to cover childcare costs for Luca, my 2-year-old nephew, for the next eight weeks. Luca is thriving in his current daycare, and in a time of big changes at home, we want to keep his routine stable so he can continue to learn and grow without interruption. Reliable childcare will also allow Alex to dedicate himself fully to his job search, treating it as a 40-hour-a-week commitment, which is the fastest way to restore their family’s income. This support will help Lisa stay focused on her work, providing the remaining stability their family needs during this bridge period.


Lisa and Alex are a proud, hardworking family who didn’t ask for this, but they have agreed to let me set up this fundraiser because they want the best for their son.
