My name is Jamie Tasker, an attorney based in Tampa, Florida. I'm reaching out today to ask for your help in making a life-changing dream come true for my closest friend since middle school, Lindsay-Rae, and her husband Austin. Together, we have the opportunity to help build a family through adoption and bring hope to children who need it most.
Every child deserves a loving home, and every person with a heart full of love deserves the chance to be a parent. For my dear friend Lindsay-Rae and her devoted husband Austin Little, the journey to parenthood has been filled with challenges, unwavering courage, and boundless hope.
Lindsay-Rae has been my closest friend since middle school, and I've witnessed firsthand her extraordinary capacity for love and compassion throughout the years we've grown up together. She and Austin have dreamed of becoming parents for years. After Lindsay-Rae's brave battle with cancer, their path to parenthood needed to take a different route than they had initially imagined. Through all of life's unexpected turns, their desire to share their love with a child who needs a family has only grown stronger.
Having known Lindsay-Rae for most of my life, I can say with complete confidence that she was born to be a mother. The extraordinary strength, patience, and nurturing spirit she carries would make any child fortunate to call her "Mom." Austin, her devoted husband and close friend to me, shares this same commitment to providing a stable, loving home for children who need it most.
Their journey has led them to Hopes Uganda, a reputable orphanage and nonprofit organization that I personally work with and can vouch for. Through this organization, Lindsay-Rae and Austin have the opportunity to adopt one or two children who desperately need the love and stability that only a forever family can provide.
International adoption comes with significant costs. The $40,000 we're raising will help cover:
- Application and processing fees
- Home study requirements
- Legal documentation
- Travel expenses to Uganda
- Post-placement support services
I am personally committed to donating as much as I possibly can for as long as it takes to help Lindsay-Rae and Austin realize their dream of becoming parents. This journey means the world to me because I know what incredible parents they will be.
