Dear friends and loved ones,
As we finally begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel of the last year, I've been able to sit down and take a glance into the future. 2020 brought about a lot of change for everyone and I don't think anyone escaped completely unscathed. After months of struggling due to lost work and falling into a loophole of not qualifying for unemployment assistance, I made the decision to jump ship and move to Houston to follow the love of my life while he completes his residency program. It's been quite the change for both of us, and on top of it all I decided to go back to school while also having a full time job working with a Non-Profit Organization and coaching. PHEW!
What makes Cameron's situation unique is he's in a global residency, which means for one year out of four, he gets to spend that time working abroad, directly impacting the community he'll be working with. We've received the tentative go ahead to move to Eswatini (Swaziland) in June of 2022 and it can't come soon enough.
Now for those of you who know me, there's no way I can pass up the chance for an adventure and the opportunity to get my hands dirty doing some meaningful work along the way. I'll be applying to some incredible volunteer programs to actively be doing two of my favorite things; working in the conservation of wildlife, and coaching some INCREDIBLE little humans in Circus Arts.
So here's the thing. There's travel expenses, volunteer application fees, living expenses, immunizations, medications and more....there's just no way I can make this happen on my own. Ten guesses where you come in?
This truly is a situation where EVERY cent counts, so no matter what you can donate I hope you know that it is exceptionally significant and so very appreciated.
This isn't one person on a mission, it's all of us coming together to do what we can to make the world a little brighter.
Thank you all <3
