Hi, I’m Linda Weingarten, artist and author of The Angel That Lit the Way for Christmas.

This book began as a love letter to my family and a reminder that every act of giving begins with the Light of Jesus.

Inspired by my late mother’s Giving Tree Dessert Party, our family tradition celebrates dessert first — because sweetness and love come before everything else! We share treats, hang blessings on a Giving Tree, and donate children’s books in memory of my grandfather.

This story carries that same spirit of faith, joy, and kindness — showing how an angel shared a spark of Heaven’s light with Santa, asking him to spread Christ’s love across the world.
