Help Linda Shepard Rebuild
Donation protected
This winter season has seen several debilitating storms strike the coast of Maine. On Sunday, March 10th a third wind storm combined with a king tide struck Stonington, and with it brought more damage. Linda Shepard, my mom and a lifelong Stonington resident who has worked with many island children throughout her career, suffered significant damage to her property through the first two storms, and the third has left one of the two buildings with only minimal support left. Linda has been informed insurance will not cover the damage.
Her home is deeply important to her. It is the home she and her family grew up in, where her and extended family have celebrated many July 4ths, and now where she has decided to spend the rest of her life living. The damaged building in particular is where she and her husband raised their first daughter. The funds raised here will go to assessing damage and repairing Linda Shepard’s property and home. Thank you all very much!
