Help Me Get Linda Off the Streets

I recently met a kind, elderly woman named Linda, and her story has been weighing on my heart ever since. Linda is 72 years old and has been sleeping in a restroom at a local park—cold, frightened, and enduring terrible back pain from nights spent on the unforgiving concrete.

When I saw how much pain she was in the other day, I couldn’t just walk away. I managed to put her in a hotel for three days so she could take a shower, sleep in a warm bed, and feel some relief. But I know this is not a long-term solution, and neither does she. Linda is clean and not using drink or any drugs.

Linda deserves a safe place to rest her head at night, and right now, the best option I can think of is to help her get a car. It’s not a perfect solution, but it would give her a safe, secure place to sleep until we can find something more permanent.

I promised Linda I would do everything I could to help her, but I can’t do this alone. I’m reaching out to you—any contribution, big or small, will help us get closer to providing her with the safety and dignity she deserves.
