Help Lincoln Thrive at Camp Wonder
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Emily, and I’m reaching out as a parent who wants to give their child a chance to thrive in a place where he is truly understood and celebrated.
Our son, Lincoln, is an incredible 6-year-old who was diagnosed with Autism Level Three in 2024. He is a proud military child that has experienced multiple moves and deployments since he was just 2 years old. With his diagnosis, changes are incredibly hard for Lincoln, but if you’ve ever had the joy of meeting him, you know he’s incredibly intelligent, a passionate train enthusiast, and has an amazing memory—he can quote lines from his favorite movies and books word for word! He sees the world in such a vibrant and unique way and brings so much joy to everyone around him.
We’re thrilled to share that Lincoln has been accepted to Camp Wonder in Charleston this summer! Camp Wonder is a therapeutic summer camp designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum. It offers a small camper-to-teacher ratio for individualized support and care, along with the presence of licensed ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) providers to ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
Here is more information about the camp!
Since our family recently moved to the Charleston, SC area, Lincoln has had limited opportunities to socialize or explore. Camp Wonder offers community outings and social experiences, which are just what he needs—to build friendships, gain confidence, and feel a true sense of belonging in his new surroundings.
This opportunity is incredibly meaningful to us, but we are facing financial hurdles. With me about to start graduate school, a new baby at home, and our household relying on a single income, we’re doing all we can—but we need help to make this happen.
We’re hoping to raise $1,500 to help cover:
- Camp tuition for the July session
- Travel to and from the location
- Supplies and sensory-friendly items Lincoln may need
If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small—every bit helps us get closer to giving Lincoln this incredible experience. And if you can’t give right now, sharing this page is also a huge help.
As a thank-you, Lincoln will be creating special handmade thank-you cards for anyone who contributes and is comfortable sharing their address. It’s a small gesture, but one filled with heart and gratitude.
Thank you for supporting Lincoln and our family. With your help, this summer can be filled with connection, joy, learning—and of course, lots of trains!
With love and appreciation,
