Hi, my name is Lily, and I’m 13 years old. In July 2027, I’ll be embarking on the experience of a lifetime—a 4-week volunteering expedition to Ecuador with Camps International!
This incredible opportunity will allow me to work on sustainable community and environmental projects that make a real difference in the lives of local people. From helping build homes and wells to teaching in schools and contributing to projects supporting the amazing biodiversity in this beautiful country, I’ll be part of something truly meaningful by making a positive and lasting impact.
Every project is designed to be sustainable and impactful, using locally sourced materials and working hand-in-hand with the community. I’ll learn about the challenges people face, gain new perspectives, and grow in ways I can’t even imagine.
One of the most exciting (and challenging!) parts of the trip will be trekking up two mountains in Cotopaxi National Park - an adventure that will test me both mentally and physically, but one I’m ready to take on!
Over the next two years, I’ll be fundraising to support my trip, and I would be incredibly grateful for any support you can give—no matter how small. Every donation helps me get one step closer to Ecuador and to making a lasting impact.
I’ve got lots of fundraising ideas already! As many of you know, I love art and craft, so I’m planning to create handmade items to sell at local craft fairs. I’m also cooking up some ideas for sponsored challenges—especially ones that involve sport (particularly netball, which I love!) and being active outdoors. So watch this space for updates!
I also hope that some of our amazing local businesses might be willing to sponsor me. In return, I’ll proudly wear their logo on my Camps International t-shirt during all fundraising events and challenges, and give them shout-outs on my social media to help spread the word.
Thank you so much for believing in me and supporting this life-changing adventure!
— Lily
