Hi, my name is Lilly, and when I was 20 years old, I moved to California to follow my dreams all by myself. I was scared, but I knew this was something I had to do to experience new things in life, as I am originally from Buffalo, NY. I got another job so I could save up and move. I brought my whole life to California with me, even my cat.

Almost a year later after moving, I am suffering great loss. I have had 3 friends tragically pass away, and my mom got into a car accident, leaving her with back and neck injuries. I have been facing depression and haven’t been able to work like I used to and can no longer afford to live in California. I miss my friends and my family so much. I want to be able to be here for my mom and my friends and the family of my friends that had passed. It is hard to find a job in California that will keep me stable, and I cannot afford to lose my apartment in a state all the way on the other side of the country. I want to come back home to my family. These expenses would cover moving all of my stuff back, including my cat, and covering the rest of my rent.
