My name is Lian. I am a child from Gaza. I come from a large family, and we once lived a simple life before the war took everything from us. I lost our home, my education, and even my dogs that gave me a sense of safety. My mother is ill and suffers from severe pain; she needs a disc surgery, but treatment is very difficult under these conditions.

We survived death many times. One of my sisters was injured, and we lived through days of fear and hunger. My father is a doctor who goes out every day amid destruction and bombardment to treat the wounded and the sick without payment. I worry about him a lot, but I am very proud of him. He risks his life to save others.

Today, we face another harsh struggle: cold and rain. We live in a tent that does not protect us from winter. The rain leaks inside, and the cold hurts the children and the sick. Our dream now is very simple: to live in a safe room instead of a tent.

I wish to return to school, but education is expensive, and my family cannot afford it. Despite everything, I still dream of becoming a doctor like my father to help the injured and children.

I kindly ask people with compassionate hearts to donate to help me and my family, and to support my father who sacrifices himself every day to save other people’s lives. This is our plea for safety, dignity, and a chance to live.
