Hi everyone, my name is Flor, and I’m the eldest daughter of Leti.

As many of you may have seen, a devastating fire broke out at the Austin Flea Market on Hwy 290 on August 23rd.

When my father first came to the U.S. with nothing, he built a small tool-selling business from the ground up and secured a booth at the market back in 1990. He always intended for this business to take care of my mother if anything ever happened to him. Since losing my father in 2018, this booth has been my 57 year old mother’s sole source of income and her continuous connection to his memory.

Tragically, everything in her shop was destroyed in the fire. My mom now has to rebuild from scratch.
