My name is Leslie, and I never thought I’d find myself in this situation. Not long ago, I was on life support, fighting for my life. When I woke up, everything had changed—I had lost my home, my car, and suddenly, I was left with nowhere to go. Now, I’m homeless and staying in the woods, doing my best to stay safe and hopeful each day. It’s just me out here, and while I have faith that things can get better, it’s been incredibly hard to keep going on my own.

Having a car would change everything for me. I wouldn’t have to walk in the rain or ask strangers for rides just to get to my doctor appointments. I could look for a place to live and start rebuilding my life. Even something as simple as a tent would help me feel safer at night. I’m not used to asking for help, but right now, I truly need it. Any support—big or small—would mean the world to me and help me get back on my feet.
