Hello, my name is Oran Allwood, and I am raising funds to support families in Lennox Bigwoods, Darliston, Jamaica — the community where I grew up and where many of my loved ones still live.

Recently, a Category 5 hurricane devastated the area, destroying homes, damaging livelihoods, and leaving families without clothing, shelter, or basic necessities. Many people have been displaced and are struggling to recover.

This is a community full of strong, loving, hardworking people — but right now, they need our help.

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to provide immediate relief and help families begin rebuilding.

Funds will be used to purchase:

• Food and non-perishable groceries

• Clothing and hygiene essentials

• Tools and basic building materials for home repairs

To ensure that donations are used directly and transparently, we will:

1. Purchase all food, clothing, and supplies here in Canada

2. Package and prepare items for shipment

3. Ship the supplies directly to Darliston

4. Family on the ground will coordinate distribution to affected households in Lennox Bigwoods

This allows us to ensure:

• Supplies are good quality and reliable

• Everything donated is exactly what is needed

• Distribution is organized and reaches the families most in need

Updates and photos will be shared as shipments are prepared and delivered.

Although I now live in Canada, Lennox Bigwoods is home. These are my family members, neighbours, childhood friends, and elders who helped shape my life. I cannot sit by and watch them struggle alone — and I am asking for your support from the heart.
