Help Lennon Yoshida Battle Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Taya Yoshida, and I am fundraising for my 3-year-old niece, Lennon Yoshida. Recently, Lennon has been diagnosed with ganglioneuroblastoma, a type of cancer that has presented itself as a large tumour wrapped around the base of her spine. Due to the location of her tumour, the risk of surgical removal is far too high. Therefore, Lennon will be undergoing chemotherapy in an attempt to kill the cancerous cells within her tumour. Following chemotherapy, Lennon will be reassessed to determine the effectiveness of her treatments. We are hopeful that chemo will successfully wipe out the cancerous cells of her tumour. However, the position of Lennon's tumour may affect her mobility; consequently, she may need surgery in the future.
Currently, Lennon's mother (Drea), father (Damyn), and baby brother (Daylen) are staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver while Lennon receives care at the BC Children's Hospital. As of right now, it is unknown exactly how long they will be away from their home in Kelowna. Damyn and Drea are hopeful that their energetic, fun, loving, all-around amazing little girl will conquer cancer and continue dancing, laughing, and smiling her way through life!
I am starting this page to ideally relieve some financial stress from Damyn and Drea so that they can focus on making their current situation bearable. Any donation will help their family with everyday expenses and any future expenses that may arise throughout Lenny's journey to kicking cancer's butt.
Our family greatly appreciates any form of help that can be contributed!
