I am Lennée, a disabled artist, and I am asking for help during one of the hardest chapters of my life. I am currently homeless and surviving on $994 a month, which is not enough to cover safe housing, basic needs, or the medical care I need. After being injured and abused repeatedly, I am doing everything I can to recover physically and emotionally, but many of the treatments that could help me heal are not covered by my disability insurance. Right now, I need support for medicines, massage, chiropractic care, and mental health care so I can begin to feel safe, stable, and healthy again.
I am also fighting to keep my award-winning blacklight art installation, UnityHenge, alive. Over the past year, I have submitted 50 applications for opportunities and received zero gigs, while storage costs and my inability to expand the installation have put my work at risk. My art has been shown throughout western Washington, and I have performed across America and Canada. UnityHenge is more than art to me. It is deeply connected to my healing, my purpose, and my hope for the future. Support from this fundraiser will help me work toward safe housing, access the care I urgently need, and continue creating and sharing UnityHenge with the world. If you are able to give, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much to me.
