Help Lena get her family out of Ukraine

Donation protected
Thank you for passing along our urgent situation. Lena and her family were our previous neighbors and our very dear friends in Lithopolis Ohio. Last year, they relocated back to South Carolina, much to our chagrin. Lena is Ukrainian by birth and a citizen of the United States. Last Saturday, she flew from South Carolina to Poland to bring back to South Carolina her Ukrainian sister, Valeriia ("Lera") and her five-year old nephew, Mark. All of Lena's family from Ukraine resides in South Carolina, but for her sister, Lera, and nephew, Mark. Therefore, the family is desperate to have their visas granted to travel together home to South Carolina. Importantly, Valeriia "Lera" husband's is fighting on the front lines in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.

Our friend, Lena, met and married her American husband, Kaleb, while he was serving in Ukraine through the Peace Corps. They married in 2006, and moved to South Carolina in 2007. Kaleb is a proud OSU graduate and a full bread Buckeye, born and raised in Ohio.

Lena's father and mother carry a green card and travel between South Carolina and Ukraine every 5 to 6 months to care for their Ukrainian grandmother and Lena's sister and nephew.

Recently their visas were denied. We are currently fundraising to assist them in getting into Mexico. From there, they will be working for asylum in the United States. Our goal is to reunite this family!

We appreciate your help,
