My son and daughter have been deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa in Belmont District, Bluefields PO, Westmoreland, Jamaica. The hurricane tore through their community and left their home in ruins—without a roof, windows, or doors. Now, they are exposed to the elements every day, facing rain, wind, and uncertainty about their safety and well-being.

Since the storm, Leighmari and Devonae have struggled to find stability. Their most urgent needs are rebuilding their home, finding clothing, and securing enough food. The loss of their home has made it difficult to focus on anything beyond daily survival. The local community has offered support, but the scale of the destruction means they need more help than what is available locally.
