Ahoy and Greetings from Legacy Bay Events ( non-profit). We hold two events every year, which last four days per event. Port Nassau which is an all ages event and Tortuga for those 21 and over. These events are supported by ticket sales to the participants and are limited to 1000 to 1500 tickets per event. The proceeds from the event cover permits, portable biffies, as well as everything that entails putting on such an event. Left over proceeds are donated to a different charity each event, and no profit is kept by the event organizers. Our events have been going strong for over 15 years, and this year we were finally able to have a permanent home in Tangent, OR, USA. After this last Tortuga, we learned that our events were placed too close to each other this year. We have been hit with a $2,000 fine which could cripple our ability to hold future events.. We must come up with the money to pay this fine handed down to us by Lynn County. Any proceeds which are raised that exceed the $2,000 goal will be divided up between this years' charities ( Orca Conservancy, Oregon Humane Society, Burrito Brigade, Reach for the Rhythm, The Trevor Project, ALS Northwest, 4 All Muttkind, and The Springfield Education Foundation).
