I’d like to introduce you to my friend Lee, a man I met one day in downtown Clearwater during a heartfelt gospel conversation. In just a few minutes of talking with him, it was clear that he carried a heavy story— one marked by hardship, loss, and a deep desire for change.

Over the past years, Lee has endured more than most of us could imagine. The recent passing of his mother shook his world and sent him into a difficult downward spiral. In his grief, he turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism, and like so many in similar battles, he became stuck in a painful cycle he’s been unable to break on his own.

Today, Lee wants to get sober. He wants stability. He wants to rebuild. But he’s caught in a bind:

• He can’t maintain a job without a safe and stable place to live.

• And he can’t secure a place to live without steady work.

This is where we can make a real difference.

I’m raising funds to help Lee get ONE MONTH in a sober-living halfway house—a place that will give him structure, accountability, drug and alcohol testing, community support, and most importantly, a roof over his head. This environment will give Lee what he needs to break free from the cycle, regain stability, find work, and begin rebuilding his life with dignity and hope.

My prayer is that as he takes these steps, he not only encounters a community of Christians willing to surround him with the love of Christ, but that he personally experiences forgiveness, healing, and the grace that leads to lasting transformation.
