Lee Platt is a 53-year-old man I met on Thanksgiving Day while delivering food to those in need. Lee is a man of deep faith who, despite facing tremendous hardship, has never lost his hope or his positive spirit. He does not drink or use drugs, but a series of health setbacks and bad luck have left him homeless and struggling to survive. Lee’s kidneys are failing, requiring dialysis three times a week. He has suffered multiple strokes, which have caused him to lose much of his eyesight, and he now faces major eye surgery in January 2026. He also relies on a walker for mobility, making daily life even more challenging.

For many years, Lee has collected and sold memorabilia to support himself. Our goal is to help him get healthy and stable during the winter months by providing safe housing, transportation to his medical appointments, and supplementing his food assistance. With your support, we hope to get Lee through the winter to the spring, when he can hopefully return to the memorabilia shows he loves and regain his independence. Lee’s faith in God remains unshaken, and he continues to be a shining light even in his darkest times.
