Leanna Stevenson is that mom who is always volunteering and thinking of others. She’s the one who will give you the shirt off her back, plan the PTA events, help her elderly neighbors, and check in with you when you’re sick to see if there’s anything she can do. Her kindness and generosity have touched so many lives in our community.

This year, Leanna and her family have faced an incredibly tough journey. After losing her father, Leanna had to stop working so she could care for her mother in her final months. When her mother passed away, the family’s challenges only grew. They lost their housing and paid a deposit on a new place. Due to flooding and toxic mold, the new home became unlivable, and the landlord refused to return their deposit.

Now, Leanna, her husband, and their three children have been living in a Motel 6 for over a month and a half. They’re working with a volunteer lawyer to recover their lost deposit and doing everything they can to save up for a new rental. Despite these setbacks, Leanna remains devoted to her family and determined to provide them with a safe, stable home.

I’m raising funds to help Leanna and her family move out of the motel, cover their basic needs, and secure a new rental so they can regain stability and begin to thrive again. Leanna is a fighter who just needs a helping hand during this crisis. Any support you can offer will make a real difference for her family as they work to rebuild their lives.
