I’m Amy and I’m asking for help for my fiancée, Leah, and our family as a whole. I’m definitely not comfortable asking for help but there is literally no other option and we don’t know what else to do.

Leah is one of the best people I know; she’s extremely caring, generous, funny, and hard working. But she’s had some really unfair things happen to her and while she’s always pushed through, these problems are even more difficult to overcome.

I am asking for monetary help for significant legal bills that have accrued from post-divorce motions that were filed against Leah. I cannot add details here, but it is my opinion that these motions are intended to be legal and financial abuse.

in addition to this stress, which has been going on for 1.5 years, Leah is facing medical issues that are very scary. She’s in the process of seeing different specialists to solve the mystery of why she is experiencing debilitating symptoms. All we know right now is that she has 3 nodules on her thyroid that will be biopsied asap. She has missed work and is expected to miss more to undergo surgery to remove the thyroid. It appears that this could help with some the symptoms, but it continues to be unclear whether she also suffers from a rare autoimmune disease.

So any money we collect from the fundraiser will go completely to legal fees to put an end to this litigation and to medical bills/lost wages that Leah is incurring.

Leah and I both just hope for a simple, peaceful life with our kids, pets, and family. If we can get through this difficult time, we will be truly grateful.
