From Cottage Dance Academy to Vancouver Movement Collective — A New Chapter Begins

What started as a cozy, welcoming space called Cottage Dance Academy has blossomed into something so much bigger. We’ve grown from a small dance family into a thriving, vibrant community of movers, dreamers, and artists. With that growth comes a huge and exciting step—we’re moving into our very own dedicated dance space!

New Space, New Name, Same Heart

Effective August 5th, we’ll officially be opening the doors to our new location:

905 NE 68th St, Suite 200, Vancouver, WA 98665

We’re also reintroducing ourselves with a new name that reflects our expanded vision: Vancouver Movement Collective.

This name honors the creative energy, inclusive spirit, and wide-reaching impact we aim to cultivate. We’re not just a dance studio—we’re a home for movement, art, performance, and connection.

Why We Need Your Help

A crucial part of making this space safe and professional for our dancers is installing Marley flooring—a special dance surface that protects joints, supports turns, and ensures all of our dancers, from toddlers to adults, can move safely and confidently.

Installing Marley is a major cost we hadn’t originally budgeted for—but it’s essential. That’s why we’re turning to our community for help.

• Purchasing and laying Marley flooring

• Minor renovations to make our space functional and welcoming

• Helping us settle into our forever dance home
