Help Lay Esiyah Dixon-Waheed to Rest

Donation protected
My name is Musa Waheed, and with a heavy heart, I step forward on behalf of my family to humbly request your support during this incredibly difficult time. It is often hard to ask for help, but we are in dire need. We have tragically lost our beloved Esiyah H. Dixon-Waheed. While on a church retreat in Missouri, she was the sole victim of a devastating head-on collision caused by a reckless, intoxicated driver with a revoked license.

We are utterly stunned, shocked, and struggling to comprehend this loss. Esiyah was our shining star, a vibrant and accomplished young woman. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Wiley University, a distinguished HBCU in Marshall, TX, on a scholarship for her exceptional singing and performing arts talents. Beyond her academic achievements, Esiyah was a dedicated tutor, vocal coach, and mentor, touching countless lives with her gifts.

Her voice was not merely for singing; it was a ministry, a source of comfort and healing for those experiencing pain and grief. Now, we need your help to bring her home.

We are appealing to your generosity to assist Esiyah's mother, Mahasin Waheed, and our family in laying her to rest. Whether you can contribute one dollar or one thousand dollars, whatever amount resonates with you, we ask that you prayerfully consider supporting us. If Esiyah has ever ministered to you, touched your life, or if you simply recognize the profound loss we are experiencing, please reach deep into your heart and help us bring our girl home.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness will not go unnoticed, and we believe that every blessing you bestow will be returned to you tenfold.

With sincere gratitude,

The Waheed & Dixon Families

Update: Achieving Our Initial Goal for Esiyah's Homegoing

We extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has contributed to achieving our initial fundraising goal. Your generous donations have been instrumental in securing a funeral home in Missouri and covering the significant expense of bringing Esiyah home.

The funds raised thus far have directly supported:

* Airfare for the transportation of her remains.
* Casket expenses.
* Church venue costs.
* Her memorial gown.
* Expenses associated with the receiving funeral home.

As we move forward with the arrangements, we are mindful of the additional costs associated with ensuring a dignified and memorable homegoing for Esiyah. These include:

* Obituaries for attendees.
* Cemetery expenses, which constitute a significant portion of the overall budget.
* Other personalized details to honor Esiyah's unique spirit.

Considering all anticipated costs, including catering for guests, staffing, vendor fees, and unforeseen expenses, we estimate a total of $35,000 will be required. We humbly ask for your continued support to help us reach this goal and provide Esiyah with the farewell she deserves. Every donation, regardless of size, is deeply appreciated and will contribute to a meaningful tribute.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The Waheed & Dixon Families
