Help Lay Baby August to Rest with Love and Dignity
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
It is with broken hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of our sweet baby boy, August Rowland, who was just 2 years old. From birth, August was a fighter, diagnosed with Truncus Arteriosis which is a life threatening congenital heart defect. He was ultimately put into a medically induced coma due to heart failure. Despite numerous surgeries, extended hospital stays and receiving the best possible care at Duke Hospital, August succumbed to his heart condition.
His time with us was far too short, but in those precious years, he brought more love, laughter, and light than we could have ever imagined.
No parent should ever have to face the unimaginable pain of losing a child, and yet here we are—grieving, shattered, and trying to honor his memory in the most loving way we can. August will continue to live through us in spirit and our memories of him.
We are humbly asking for your help to cover the extra costs associated with August’s funeral and memorial services. This includes burial expenses, a casket, flowers, outstanding medical expenses, grief counseling for our family and the other difficult but necessary arrangements that come with saying goodbye. We want to ensure that he is laid to rest with the care and dignity he deserves.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward these expenses and help lift some of the burden from us during this deeply painful time. If you are unable to contribute financially, your prayers, thoughts, and shares of this campaign are equally meaningful.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion and support as we grieve the loss of our beautiful baby boy.
With Love,
The Rowland Family
