Help Laurie & Ezequiel Rebuild After Fire

A note from Ezequiel and Laurie:
We are filled with gratitude for the incredible generosity and kindness you have shown us during this difficult time after the Palisades Fire disaster. With 80% of our building destroyed and the future of our home still uncertain, your support has been a source of strength. Although the 20% of the building that remains includes our unit, we are awaiting crucial structural evaluations and environmental reports to determine whether we can safely return and when. Your contributions, messages, and unwavering encouragement have given us the confidence to keep moving forward. Thank you for standing by us — your kindness means more than words can express.
With heartfelt thanks,
Ezequiel and Laurie

It is with a very heavy heart that I create this fund in hopes to help support my Aunt and Uncle, Laurie and Ezequiel.
Like so many, Laurie and Ezequiel have lost their home in the Palisades Fire. This whole event has been absolutely devastating and has brought the local community to its knees.
We have the utmost faith in the Palisades and its ability to rebuild the magic that only people can bring to a community, but this will be a very long road ahead.
I'd like to share with you all a little bit about my Aunt and Uncle as they are amongst the most genuine, accepting, kind, and wonderful people I have the privilege of loving. Both have a passion for travel, the outdoors, camping, and adventures with their family and dog, Admiral.
Laurie and Ezequiel just recently retired last year from a long and commendable career serving children and families at a local school on the west side of Los Angeles.
These funds will help with the many unexpected expenses they now face and help them start to rebuild. Starting this new chapter will be incredibly challenging. We are unsure what the future will look like, but with the help of our friends and family, their prayers and generosity, my hope is that we can make it a tiny bit easier.
All my love,
Ashley
