Help Laurie and Family Rebuild Their Lives

Hi, I’m Laurie. I’m making a GoFundMe page for my mom and our family. Last January, I lost my late boyfriend, and we were living in our house for 6 years. My mom is 79 and got diagnosed with lung cancer and breast cancer. I have a liver disease, and I’m 55. I have a son who is 17 with learning disabilities. We were asked to leave our house because I had to call Davenport city to have a house inspection since no one had been out in 4 years. We had cracked walls, the foundation was falling in the basement, and mold was growing in the basement, so it was unsafe. Our so- called landlord gave us a notice to quit, and we had 4 days to move with nowhere to go. I have 5 cats that I won’t. part with because 3 of them are babies to my one cat I had first. We are homeless and lost everything, including furniture, food, clothes, and more. We are living in a hotel right now because it’s so hard finding a 2-bedroom apartment since they want a security deposit upfront with application fees. We are on social security with low income. I can’t get food stamps because I make too much, even though I make less than $2000 a month, and my mom only makes a little over a thousand. We have other expenses. My mom had to cancel life insurance because we can’t barely afford much. I’m asking for some help if there’s any. My health right now is not real good, and my mom is on oxygen, so we’re just needing some help. Thanks. Please only donate what you can
