I'm reaching out to share the ugly news about my mom, Lauri.

She was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that has metastasized into her liver. A mere 6 days after the news, she was already starting chemotherapy. The oncologist wants to get her as much time as we can.

It's not enough that Mom beat cancer once, but she had to get a new and different kind that is classified as a "CUP" cancer, a cancer of unknown primary. That's medical talk for they can't find the source of it.

People have been asking what they can do to help. So I convinced Mom to let me start this GoFundMe to help cover some of the costs that her insurance won't.
