Hi everyone. I’m starting this fundraiser for my friend Megan and her little girl, Maisy, after their family experienced a devastating house fire in the middle of the night.

Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, but the fire and smoke caused extensive damage and turned their lives upside down overnight. Megan and Maisy have been displaced and are currently trying to figure out temporary housing while replacing the everyday things they suddenly lost.

This comes at an especially difficult time for Megan. She recently became a single mom and is now facing the aftermath of the fire while caring for her one-year-old daughter. Because of everything happening, she’s also had to miss work, making an already overwhelming situation even harder financially.

Insurance is involved, but as anyone who has been through something like this knows, there are so many immediate expenses that don’t wait for insurance claims to be processed. Money raised will help with temporary living expenses, food, clothing, necessities for Maisy, replacing essential belongings, transportation, missed income, and anything else they need while getting back on their feet.

Megan would never be the person to ask for help herself, which is exactly why I wanted to do this for her. She has had an incredibly difficult few weeks, and then this happened on top of everything else.
