Hi, we are Lauren, Kate and Sofiya and we are fundraising the cost of going to Calais for 7 days and working in refugee camps on the border run by the charity Care4Calais. We will be working 9:30-6:30 collecting, sorting and distributing donations, working with people and helping in various ways such a teaching useful English. At university we volunteer with asylum seekers and want to learn the reality of the issue and give our skills and time to improve the dignity and quality of life for some of the most vulnerable people in our society. The goal covers travel, accommodation and basic food that will enable us to do this volunteering. Any excess will be donated to Care4Calais.
