My name is Amanda, and I am trying to raise money for my sister Laura and her family. On July 26th, her day started out with her car being towed from in front of her house while she was loading it up to take her 3 kids to the lake. Police were called and took a statement. Her husband, Shawn, was there with her. Shawn went inside after the police left and collapsed, with Laura and the kids witnessing it. Laura called 911, and Shawn was taken to UNMC. At the young age of 34, he was having a major heart attack. UNMC and the cath lab did an amazing job at saving his life. He is now out of work and needs to go to cardiac rehab. Laura has a full-time job and is doing side jobs to try and make rent and pay all the bills this month, but she is falling short. Laura is scared she will end up in a shelter with her little family.
