My lovely friend Laura (who many of you know and adore) is currently facing cancer with her signature strength and humour. She’s also rocking the bald look like an absolute queen. However, before she became the embodiment of ‘bald and beautiful’, Laura’s hair meant the world to her.

Now, she’s getting fitted for a stunning real hair wig. The only downside? These wigs can cost over £1,000. That’s where we come in!

To do my bit, I’m taking part in the 5k Race for Life (yes, actual running - I know, I’m shocked too). I’ve already hit my £50 goal for Cancer Research, so anything extra will go straight towards Laura’s wig fund. I’ll be attempting to run the whole thing, but let’s be honest, I’ve never run in my life….so “run” might be a strong word. Think more determined shuffle with enthusiasm.

Now, if you know Laura, you’ll know she’s probably cringing right now. She’s not one for a fuss…sorry Laura! But after everything she’s been through these past few months, the least we can do is give her one less thing to worry about.

If you can spare a little (or a lot!), every penny will go towards helping Laura feel like herself again. Let’s get her that wig and remind her just how loved she is.
