Help Laura and her boys after tragedy

Hi, my name is Kelley Peters and I am fundraising for my best friend Laura Olson and her sons. As you have heard all over the news as of late, there was a man that murdered his ex girlfriend by setting her on fire on March 15th, 2022 in St. Paul. This man was the Father of Lauras two sons, Patrick and Morris (Mo-Mo). You can only

imagine the trauma this has also caused on these boys. There is so much confusion and unanswered questions that will never explain his heinous act of violence.

His actions will also cause some huge financial burdens for Laura. Patrick and Morris’s Father carried the health insurance for the boys. This will obviously no longer be the case. Laura owns her own cleaning business, therefore she does not have employer offered insurance, and will not be able to afford medical insurance for the boys. This is especially important right now with the trauma they have experienced because of their Father. Laura will also be missing some work due to needing to be there for her boys. When you own your own business, paid time off is not an option.

The boys deserve to continue enjoying their sports that they have been in their entire life and should not have to suffer because of the actions of their Father. Laura and the boys will not be receiving any financial help from him. These boys need to have some sort of normalcy and not have their entire life flip upside down.

We need to show these boys and Laura that they have the support of the community. This family is yet another family that has fell victim to him after begging for help and being failed by the system, while he continuously got slapped on the wrist.

We need to rally behind these super sweet, funny, loving boys and let them know there are people out there that have their backs and want to help them achieve their dreams and goals and help them get the help they are going to need.

If you know Laura, you know she has never been the one to ask for hand outs. She has always worked her butt off to ensure things were taken care of. She has never stopped being her childrens advocates and putting them first. It will be impossible for her to financially do everything for the boys, while being there for them mentally and emotionally as well. Laura is one strong Mama, but she cannot do

this alone.
