I’m Cara, and I’m building White River EMS, a woman-owned BLS ambulance service based in Enumclaw. We are a new startup created to serve the Plateau with planned, safe basic life support transports for interfacility, discharge, skilled nursing, and dialysis trips. Right now, local facilities and families often have to wait for a transport unit coming from far away. My goal is to put one licensed BLS ambulance here in our community so neighbors can move between hospital, rehab, dialysis, and home with less waiting and more local support. Service can begin only after the Washington Department of Health issues our ambulance license, and we need help covering the final startup costs to be fully ready.
Your support will help finish the first unit to Washington standards, including the stretcher and load system, oxygen, suction, AED, required equipment, markings, and other essentials. Donations will also help cover the insurance deposit and first-year down payment, licensing, inspection, and compliance costs, the first 90 days of consumables, PPE, uniforms, and fuel, and a short operating float for two EMTs until facility accounts and insurance payments begin. Every dollar will stay with the first rig and the first months of local coverage. If you live on the Plateau, work at one of these facilities, or have ever waited with a loved one for a transport that had to come from far away, I’m asking for your help. Please donate if you can, and share this page if you can’t. Both matter, and both help White River EMS stand up for our town.
