The Warrior Flow Foundation's Launch

I am both excited and humbled to announce the launch of The Warrior Flow Foundation, a nonprofit organization that will bring therapeutic yoga and mindfulness programs to places where these tools are most needed: schools, hospitals, homeless shelters, police stations, prisons, and more.

Please join me in helping The Warrior Flow Foundation to take our first baby steps towards making a difference in the community. As of now, The Warrior Flow Foundation has been approved as a nonprofit corporation by the state of Florida, and we are in the process of filing for federal 501(c)3 status, designating our board members, planning which programs we can afford to run, and training instructors to help us carry forward our mission into these community programs.

For me personally, the creation of The Warrior Flow Foundation represents a turning point in my life and my vocation. After many years of teaching mainstream physical yoga in studios and gyms, I faced my own struggles with depression, trauma, and grief after the loss of my mother. This gave me a deeper, more personal understanding of the healing potential of these practices and the necessity of making them available to those who need them most.

We face immediate overhead expenses for our federal 501(c)3 application, trainings for our instructors, developing and launching our web site, etc. But most importantly, we need to fund a number of new programs that are launching in early 2020 at local hospitals, schools, police stations, and more.

I created this GoFundMe to ask for your help in getting The Warrior Flow Foundation off the ground. Anything you can give will help us reach our goals and take the transformative practices of mindfulness and yoga outside the walls of the yoga studio and bring them to a world in need.
