I founded the CivicOS Institute because I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it is for residents to navigate local government systems that were never designed for modern life. From permits to public records to essential services, families and small businesses lose time, money, and opportunities simply because the tools are outdated. After years of working on community-focused problem-solving and municipal research, I realized the only way to fix this is to build a dedicated nonprofit whose sole mission is to modernize civic infrastructure in a responsible, transparent, and publicly accountable way.
The initial funds raised here will go directly toward the concrete steps required to formally launch the CivicOS Institute. This includes filing the state incorporation, covering IRS fees for 501(c)(3) recognition, preparing essential legal documents, and setting up the basic administrative structure needed for operations. Once these pieces are in place, the Institute can begin its first research projects with local municipalities—mapping service gaps, gathering community input, and building the foundation for future digital tools. Every contribution helps move us from concept to action, allowing the Institute to begin delivering public-benefit research and laying the groundwork for modern, transparent civic technology.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about this project. If you choose to support the launch of the CivicOS Institute, you’re helping build a nonprofit designed to deliver real public benefit from day one. I’m grateful for any level of support, and I invite you to join me in creating a modern, more accessible future for our communities.
