Help Launch Services for Special Needs Families

I began my career as a Special Education Teacher in 1990. 35 years later, I find myself preparing to retire! I have big plans for what I will do in retirement.

I am starting a non-profit that will provide many much-needed services to special needs children and their families. I have loved working with these children and their families, and, while I no longer wish to teach them academic skills, I long to continue to work with them on creating happy, healthy lives! My vision includes providing respite care, residential facilities, employment training, employment opportunities, clubs, workshops, and recreational activities (art, music, acting, singing, sports, personal hygiene, feeding skills, dressing skills, nutrition training, cooking, household chores, etc.) all for special needs children.

I was stunned to find out that in order to create a non-profit organization of this type and scope, you actually need to have fairly large start-up funds. So, I am turning to you... friends, family, and the general public for help. Please help me make this dream a reality. Literally ANY amount that you contribute will be helpful.
