A car can be the difference between staying stuck and starting over.
Right now, I’m working with my first participant through Rise & Drive—a program I created to help survivors of domestic violence access safe, reliable transportation.
She has a time-sensitive job training opportunity.
The only barrier?
-She doesn’t have a way to get there.
This isn’t a long-term “someday” problem.
This is a right-now, this-week barrier.
What we’re doing
I’m actively working to secure a reliable vehicle for her through local partnerships, including a repair shop helping identify available cars.
But to move forward, we need to cover:
- Vehicle purchase or placement cost
- Basic safety repairs and inspection
- Registration and insurance
Our goal
Raise $3,000–$5,000 to secure and place the first vehicle.
This will allow her to:
- attend job training
- maintain employment
- move forward safely and independently
Why this matters
This is the pilot for Rise & Drive.
Not a full program launch.
Not a large-scale rollout.
Just one person. One vehicle. One real outcome.
What happens next
Once this first placement is complete, I’ll be able to:
- document exactly what it took
- refine the model
- expand to help more people
This project is deeply personal to me. I’m a survivor myself, and I’ve seen firsthand how something as simple as a reliable car can change everything.
If you’ve ever wanted to support something tangible, something that directly helps someone get to work, rebuild stability, and move forward - this is that moment.
Even small contributions help us get closer to placing this first vehicle.
Thank you for being part of making this first step possible!
