PRISM – Moose Jaw was born from a deep need for connection, safety, and visibility for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Moose Jaw and the surrounding rural areas. Too many queer people here—especially youth, trans folks, newcomers, and those living in isolation—feel like there’s nowhere to go, no one to turn to, and no real sense of belonging. We’re here to change that.
We’re a grassroots, volunteer-led nonprofit working to build something this city has long been missing: a space where people can come together without judgment, celebrate who they are, and know they’re not alone. From support groups and social nights to advocacy and Pride events, PRISM is about meeting people where they are—and walking with them toward something better.
Your donation will help us cover our initial start-up costs: incorporation, supplies, room rentals, and the early programming that will help us take root and grow. Every dollar goes directly to building an inclusive, welcoming community.
This isn’t about any one person—it’s about all of us. If you’ve ever wished you had something like this growing up—or if you know how much these spaces matter—please help us create it now.
Together, we can build a future where everyone is seen, valued, and safe to shine.
