Last year, I went to countless social groups, meetups, singles mixers, and tried all the apps. While I met some great people along the way, nothing quite checked all the boxes. Many of the groups were Gen Z-focused, party-centric, or relied on icebreakers and games that felt forced. Like so many others, I wanted to meet people in real life, but the options just didn’t feel right for millennials looking for genuine connection.
That’s why I started Millennial Social Club. We’re different because we offer low-pressure hangs—no name tags, no awkward icebreakers, and no agenda geared just toward singles. Our goal is to keep things casual and organic, making it easy for people to connect naturally. We’re the people who want to stay out till 11 (at the latest), not 2 am anymore. We drink socially, but we’re not interested in overdoing it like we did in college. We’re committed to offering free local events at bars and restaurants so everyone can join in, with the possibility of adding some paid events like sporting outings or themed parties in the future. But at our core, we’ll always provide accessible, no-pressure ways to meet new friends.
The response has been incredible. People have thanked me for creating this space, local news has reached out, and there’s growing demand for more events—even from other cities. I truly believe millennials are craving more connection, but there aren’t many spaces offering what we need. This started as a passion project, but it’s become clear it could have a much bigger impact. As a one-woman show, I can’t fund it all on my own, so I’m asking for your help. Your support will help us spread the word, launch a website, create more events, and bring Millennial Social Club to even more people who need it.
