Help Us Build Roots Without Borders

Hi, I’m YoNoSabo, the founder of Mexican American Ancestral Roots (MAAR).

MAAR is a new community platform for Mexican-Americans who want to reconnect with their Mexican and ancestral Indigenous roots while gaining practical knowledge to participate more confidently in life across the United States and Mexico.

For many of us, reconnecting with Mexico is more than learning Spanish or visiting family. It means understanding our stories, honoring our culture, learning through food and family traditions, exploring dual citizenship, and feeling prepared to build a meaningful life on both sides of the border.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to launch MAAR’s first resources, content, and community-building work.

What MAAR Will Do

MAAR will create bilingual education, cultural storytelling, practical guides, and trusted referrals focused on:

Mexican and ancestral Indigenous roots, culture, food, family history, and belonging.

Dual-citizenship education, document-preparation checklists, and referrals to qualified professionals.

Everyday life in Mexico, including how to research mobile service, banking, credit, local services, and common administrative steps.

Housing readiness, rental searches, questions to ask, and practical property due-diligence education.

Binational entrepreneurship, business exploration, and lawful ways to pursue opportunity across the United States and Mexico.

Our goal is not to tell people who they are—it is to give them a welcoming space to explore their roots and the tools to move forward with confidence.

How Your Support Will Help

Funds raised will help establish MAAR’s launch foundation, including:

A bilingual website and resource hub.

Educational checklists and plain-language guides.

Heritage, culture, food, and family-history storytelling content.

Virtual community conversations and listening sessions.

Outreach materials and partnerships with trusted cultural and professional resources.

Initial planning to grow MAAR toward a formal nonprofit organization.

We will share updates about the campaign, the resources we create, and how launch funds are being used.

Our Commitment

MAAR will be an educational and community-navigation platform. We will provide general information, checklists, and referrals—not legal, tax, financial, real-estate, immigration, or investment advice. For decisions involving citizenship, banking, housing, business formation, taxes, or immigration, we will encourage participants to work directly with official institutions and qualified professionals.

Important: This is a launch-support campaign. Contributions are not currently represented as tax-deductible. Reaching this $5,000 goal will help us take the next steps toward building MAAR as a formal nonprofit organization.
