Help Launch Josh's Legacy of Hope Food Truck
Donation protected
On January 26th, 2022, we lost our loved one, Joshua Serrano. The memory of Josh’s love and laughter is forever carried by those who knew and loved him.
.
One of Josh’s true passions during his short time here was the culinary arts; something he grew to love while in high school. As the years went on, Josh gained a love for good food created and shared with people, and it is with this lasting impression that a new project has been kindled into existence.
Family and friends of Josh have come together to launch the “Legacy of Hope” food truck. A collaborative project that will combine a useful resource for the community and one of Josh’s dreams of owning a food truck, that was never able to come to fruition.
Our purpose is simple: Create a self-sustaining food truck that will serve the hungry and underprivileged throughout the Austin area by day, and function as a fully-functioning food truck business by night. Utilizing a token system, customers will have the ability to help feed others with each purchase of an entrée, and the “Legacy of Hope” staff will have meals prepared to make sure that no one ever leaves the truck hungry.
The goal with this initial fundraiser is to purchase the truck and equipment, help secure operating costs and startup fees that go into the creation of any food truck business, as well as to get a head start on the overhead and prepare for an ambitious opening on June 5th (Josh’s birthday). There will be no administrative costs for the project - 100% of the funds raised will go toward these goals.
