Help Us Launch Seva Bus – Bringing Community, Support & Connection To Elderly People Who Need It Most.

Inspired by the Sikh value of *Seva* (selfless service), Seva Bus is a community-led initiative created to support elderly and vulnerable people—primarily within the Sikh community, but open to all.

As the world becomes more digital, many older people are being left behind.

Simple everyday tasks that many of us take for granted can feel overwhelming:

• Booking GP appointments online

• Using the NHS App

• Ordering prescriptions

• Filling in council or government forms

• Applying for support or benefits

• Learning how to use smartphones, WhatsApp or video calls

• Avoiding scams and online fraud

• Simply finding companionship and people to talk to

Loneliness, isolation and digital exclusion are growing challenges—especially for elderly people living away from strong support networks.

**Seva Bus aims to change that.**

Our vision is to convert double decker buses into welcoming mobile community hubs that bring practical help, warmth and human connection directly into local communities across Essex, Kent and Surrey.

These buses will become safe spaces where elderly visitors can:

-Enjoy tea, conversation and companionship

-Receive digital support with phones, apps and online services

-Get help with forms, paperwork and council-related processes

-Access wellbeing support and community advice

-Meet like-minded people and reduce social isolation

Where possible, we also hope to partner with volunteers, community support workers and qualified professionals who can occasionally provide additional guidance.

**Our long-term vision is 5 Seva Buses**, each serving a dedicated local area so communities know exactly where and when support is available.

This fundraiser is the first step toward making that vision real.

Funds raised will go toward:

• Purchasing suitable buses

• Vehicle conversion and fit-out

• Accessibility improvements

• Community equipment and technology

• Insurance, setup and operational launch costs

Seva Bus is founded with Sikh values at its heart, but its doors will be open to anyone who needs support, regardless of faith or background.
