Help Us Secure a Home for Latasha Allen: A Pillar of Our Community

Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Levi, and I am reaching out with a heartfelt request to help my incredible mother, Latasha Allen, secure a home for our family. Our landlords are selling our current home. We have found the perfect home for our family. And we have a lease to purchase option. But we need help raising the funds to make this dream a reality.

Latasha is the greatest person I know. She is loving, selfless, hardworking, and unwavering in her faith. She has dedicated her life to raising three children—myself and my two siblings—on her own. Under her care, we all graduated high school and are either in college or soon will be. My mother has faced many challenges but has always overcome them with grace and poise. Because of her, we don’t fit the stereotype of children raised by single mothers. Her dedication and guidance have been our greatest strength.

But my mom’s love extends beyond her biological children. She has opened her heart and home to four adopted children and is currently fostering one. She has created a safe and loving environment where each of these children has flourished. She has directly saved lives, providing a better future than the foster care system could offer. Without her, who knows what their lives might have been.

In addition to being a loving mother, Latasha is a pillar of our community. She worked for seven years in the Sahuarita Unified School District, touching the lives of hundreds of students. She has also organized charitable events, such as the Los Arroyos Halloween House Decoration Contest and the Lights of Los Arroyos Christmas event, raising hundreds of pounds of food for the Community Food Bank.

Latasha’s life is a true testament to what one person, walking faithfully with God, can accomplish. Despite every obstacle—be it surgeries, car troubles, or caring for broken and hurting children—she has always remained strong, resilient, and faithful. Her selflessness and unwavering commitment to helping others are qualities that inspire all who know her.

I am sure that many of you reading this can think of a time when my mother has helped you or your family. She is the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back to keep someone from going cold or emptying her plate to make sure no one went hungry. Now, we’re asking for your help. We need to raise the funds to secure this home so that my mother can continue to provide for us and for others in the way she has done her entire life.
