***** In full transparency. Currently it was easier to send withdrawals from this go fundnme account directly to my bank account and I am paying Larry the money. He doesn’t use email much and didn’t even have one that he had ever used personally. Just know that every single penny raised will be going to help get Larry’s life back to normal. My name is Jake Nees. I have a passion for helping those in need. I have a friend locally here in Brazil, Larry Edmonds, that most people may or may not know. He has been battling liver cancer for the last year or so. He has been commuting back and forth between Brazil and Indianapolis for his cancer treatments. He came home this past week because he had to have 8 teeth removed today, 1/20/26. Well, his house was needing much attention before the fire. But today he called because his pipes had frozen and he needed help. Well, against better judgment, he instructed to leave the heater running and he would check on it after he took a nap. Well, I had a gut feeling that I should go back and turn it off regardless. Well, as I walked up, I looked towards the heater and everything seemed fine. Once I walked into the house and talked for a few minutes, I noticed smoke. Well, I walked back outside to see flames shooting 6’ up the wall. I hurried out and tried to get anything flammable away as quickly as possible and called 911. They were able to get the fire out but... the house is no longer inhabitable. If anyone knows Larry, they know he would give the shirt off of his back to help anyone in need. If you judged the book by the cover, you would definitely not see the beautiful story written inside. Larry has been my friend for many years. His son and I signed up to go to the Marines together on the buddy program back in '99, and we were delayed entry so as soon as we turned 18, we could ship out. Well, unfortunately, we lost his son when he got back after several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. The goal is to raise funds so that we can potentially demolish the remainder of the standing structure and hopefully figure out how to finance a tiny home so he doesn’t have to be concerned with maintenance and such while fighting for his life against this cancer. I’m just a friend, and he has treated me like family. So I’m hoping I can get him some help. It won’t take much to accomplish what needs to be done to help take this burden off his plate. Please don’t think any gift is too small. I would love to see those who can help and show that there are still good people in this world. Again, I have never done something like this. But if you have any questions and know me personally, please reach out. If you don’t know me and just want to help, please do. I look forward to seeing this world come together to help someone truly in need. Thanks for taking the time to read this and please reach out with any questions. Like the Bible says “whatever you have done unto the least of these my brethren , you have done it unto me. “ please let’s join together and see a miracle take place. Thanks Jake
