On the morning of January 14th, a fire broke out in a bedroom on the 8th floor of Brighton Towers in Atlantic City, NJ. Residents were jolted awake around 5 a.m. as the building was evacuated, and while most were allowed back inside, several corner units—including mine—were left uninhabitable. The fire affected hundreds of residents, and nine units were deemed unsafe to return to.
My apartment on the 10th floor was completely destroyed. I lost nearly everything, and it will be at least six months before I can safely move back in.
I’m asking for your support to cover essential needs during this time: temporary housing, clothing, women’s toiletries, food, and basic living necessities until I can return and rebuild my home.
Any contribution — big or small — will make a huge difference and help me start over. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and kindness.
