Help Laine’s dog receive service training

To all our friends, family and helpers thank you for your continued support of our family as we navigate life with a child on the autism spectrum. We couldn’t do everything we need to without you.
Our daughter, Laine, is an amazing and beautiful girl. She is wonderful, loving, and silly. She loves animals, being outside, Disney princesses and ice cream! We adore her. She was diagnosed at age 3 with severe, low verbal autism with intellectual disability. This has not been an easy road to walk with a child. She has received extensive ABA therapy, PT, OT, ST and other interventions ever since to help with communication, social skills, safety, activities of daily living, etc. She is one of the hardest workers (especially under adversity) I know.
Now at age 12, Laine continues to require support for many things including ADHD, some anxiety, transitions, impulsivity and aggression, assistance with daily living tasks and risk for wandering, elopement and/or getting lost. That is why we are hoping to raise enough money to help Laine’s 6 month old sheepadoodle, Molly, receive training to become her service and emotional support dog and provide Laine the help she needs. They have such a sweet bond.
With the guidance of intense and specialized training, Molly will be able to do a variety of tasks that can assist with a range of symptoms, behaviors, and issues caused by a Laine’s autism. An autism service dog can be trained to interrupt any harmful stemming or prevent meltdowns. It can accompany Laine in public and provide a feeling of comfort and safety. This will also help her transition from one activity to another or place to place easier. Molly can be trained to keep her safe from wondering or getting lost. This therapeutic task work will hopefully give Laine the best quality a life. A life she deserves!
We have found an all-inclusive training program in the Kansas City area called Beyond the Dog that will provide over 5 weeks of one on one training with Molly and our family. Unfortunately, this process does not come without a heavy price tag. That is where our village comes in. We are asking for your help to secure training for Laine’s dog. All funds received will go directly to Beyond the Dog, and anything you can give would be so appreciated. We love you and will keep you updated on the progress of this project! If you would like to donate directly to Laine this can be done by Venmo @Jared-Bogard
