Hello everyone, my name is Julian Aguilar and I’m hoping to raise funds for my mom, Lai Fan Lee-Aguilar. After years of living with dementia, my dad, Luis Aguilar, passed away peacefully on 6/21/24. He was a gifted mechanic, an accomplished soccer coach and referee, and a loving and supportive father. He touched the lives of so many in the Oakland and Alameda communities through his care, service, and guidance and we will always remember him fondly.

My mom has been the most amazing homemaker for 20+ years and was my dad’s sole caretaker for several years after his dementia diagnosis. Given that not much was left after my dad’s passing, we’re hoping to raise community funds for my mom to support her through this transitional period with a substantial safety net. All funds raised will go directly towards supporting my mom’s living expenses (rent, groceries, utilities, healthcare, etc.) for the next few months as she becomes financially independent.

We humbly ask for the community’s support during this difficult time so that my mom can safely and comfortably enter this new chapter, after all the time, energy, and love she has always poured into our family. We deeply appreciate you taking the time to read this message!
