Support for Dwayne and children
Lachelle’s life was such a beautiful blessing to all that knew her. A loving wife, precious daughter, encouraging sister, adorable mother, loyal friend, and lover of Jesus. Friday, June 5th, Lachelle fell ill to a brain hemorrhage caused by a rare brain disease called Moyamoya. She underwent emergency surgery to relieve pressure from her brain late that evening and by the following Sunday she was showing significant signs of improvement. As the week progressed, her family was optimistic that with the appropriate treatment, she would make a slow, but full recovery. Her progress was interrupted however Sunday, June 14th, as she began having severe seizure-like muscle spasms. Cause unknown, these episodes likely led to a subsequent stroke bringing irreversible damage to her brain. The professional healthcare and neurology team exhausted every measure to improve her condition, but by late Monday, June 15th, they determined her brain was no longer capable of sustaining her life. She was declared brain dead, but because she was a registered donor, her body was kept on life support to allow for organ recipients to be found and notified. Attached will be a picture of a document her husband wrote about her for the staff caring for her organ transfer.
On Tuesday, June 16th, her immediate family was able to see her one last time, embrace her warm hand, kiss her cheek, and say goodbye to someone they loved so dear.
Her family is so overwhelmingly grateful for all the love, thoughts, prayers, and support that have been ongoing over the course of these past few weeks. This page serves a purpose for those that have expressed interest in graciously giving to support her husband, Dwayne Morris, and young children, Adilynn, Hayes, and Cooper during this incredibly difficult time. Dwayne is such an inspiration to us all, as he supported Lachelle through the very end, his ongoing and steadfast care for his children, and his determination to love and provide for his family.
Psalm 73:26
Grace and peace to all.
